FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Your business tools, payments and public profile—without the guesswork.
Running your practice
Who is Minimum Stress for?
Independent wellness professionals who want to manage clients, appointments, packages, payments and follow-up tasks. Existing host accounts retain their separate space-management tools.
Can I use the client tools for free?
Yes. Client records, contact details, notes, services, manual calendar entries and follow-up tasks do not require a subscription. Free and Pro professionals can also sell packages and send payment links after completing payment setup.
Do I need a host account or a rented studio?
No. Use your own studio or a venue you arrange. Saving your session location does not create a host account or publish a rental listing.
What does Pro add?
Pro is $14.99/month. It adds a published online booking page, owner reminders, opt-in client service emails and business period comparison. Optional room-booking benefits include a lower 7.99% booking fee, weekly repeats and an extended booking window. Compare the plans.
What happens if I cancel Pro?
Pro stays active through your paid period, then your free client tools and records remain available. Existing paid package credits and bookings are not deleted. Public online booking and Pro-only automation pause when your access ends; refunds and existing obligations remain manageable.
Are client follow-ups automatic?
Manual tasks stay under your control. Pro can send transactional appointment, post-session and package notices when the professional enables the relevant setting and the client has consented to service emails. Automated marketing campaigns and SMS are not sent.
Can I sell event tickets at any location?
The current ticketed-event flow requires an eligible group-class or workshop space booking. It is not yet a general ticketing tool for any private venue. Ordinary sessions at your own location can still be managed in Calendar.
Payments and packages
Do I need Stripe to add clients or sessions?
No. Stripe setup is needed when you collect online payments, not when you organize your business. Receive payments manages the account that receives earnings; Payment methods manages cards you use to pay.
What fees apply at my own location?
No studio booking fee applies to a session in a location you arrange. Card processing on instructor sales is 3.49% + 30¢, deducted from the professional's earnings. The customer sees the full amount before payment.
Does deleting a package remove a client's remaining sessions?
No. Removing a package from future sales does not delete previously purchased packages, remaining paid credits, reservations or payment history. Use Hide for a temporary sales pause.
Does opening a payment link confirm payment?
No. The app uses the verified payment status. Opening checkout, returning from a payment provider or sending a link is not proof that a payment succeeded.
Your profile and booking page
Must I publish a profile to use the app?
No. Public visibility is optional. You can manage your own clients and calendar without appearing in the website directory.
How do I control new requests?
Profile & requests offers Listed · Accepting requests, Listed · Requests paused, or Hidden. Publication is subject to eligibility. Pausing new requests does not cancel existing bookings or remove earlier conversations.
Is my public profile the same as my online booking page?
No. Your public profile controls website visibility and incoming enquiries. Your personal online booking page has separate availability and publishing settings and requires Pro and payment readiness. Pausing website requests does not silently close your personal booking link.
Will Minimum Stress guarantee new clients?
No. A profile can help clients discover you, but enquiries, local availability and confirmed bookings are not guaranteed. Pro pays for tools and automation, not guaranteed leads.
Private sessions for clients
How do I request a private session?
Explore professionals or send a session request with your activity, location and preferred time. You do not need an account or payment card to enquire. Follow the email-verification step when requested.
Can I request a specific professional?
Yes. When an eligible public profile is accepting requests, you can send an enquiry to that professional. Their response and availability must still be confirmed. A category enquiry without a named professional follows a separate matching process.
Is my request already a booking?
No. You review the available option and proposed price before deciding whether to book. A preferred time or location is a request, not a reserved slot.
Can I choose home or studio?
You can state a preference. Home sessions depend on the professional, equipment, safe setup and travel details. A studio session depends on compatible space availability. Neither is confirmed just by submitting an enquiry.
Existing hosts and optional space bookings
Can I register as a new host?
New host registration is paused. We are not recruiting new hosts. Existing hosts can sign in and continue managing their spaces, availability, bookings and payment records. Existing host information.
Are existing host accounts or bookings being removed?
No. The enrollment pause is not a deletion or cancellation. Existing host tools remain available, and a hidden space stays hidden until the required review and publication steps are completed.
Do existing hosts need a new paid plan?
No. New Studio Pro subscriptions are no longer sold. Existing hosts retain the supported management tools and can manage any legacy subscription from their account.
What does it cost to book a studio?
Room-only bookings charge the host rate plus a 17.99% booking fee on Free, or 7.99% with Pro. Minimum Stress covers processing on room-only bookings. Client-paid sessions that include a studio show their separate full breakdown before payment. Existing bookings keep their agreed pricing.
Who controls a space's rules and availability?
The host sets permitted use, available hours, capacity, entry instructions and rules within the platform terms. Published inventory and booking readiness determine what is actually available; a private session address is not rental inventory.
How do cancellations or damage claims work?
Use the existing booking or claim workflow. Cancellation terms, evidence requirements and deadlines are shown in the booking documents and Host Terms. Hiding a listing does not erase outstanding obligations.
Verification and safety
Do I need to upload insurance to use the business tools?
Not to add clients or manual calendar entries. Applicable platform session and room-booking workflows check identity, professional proof and insurance. The professional remains responsible for the requirements that apply to their activity and location.
Does Minimum Stress certify professionals?
No. Document review is not a professional license, medical endorsement or guarantee of results. Independent professionals remain responsible for their qualifications, licenses, scope of practice and insurance.
Are all activities allowed?
Illegal activities, sexual services, adult-content production, parties and unsafe uses are not allowed. A host may set additional permitted-use restrictions.
